Job Overview Description:
The Asian Liver Center (ALC) at Stanford University is the first U.S. non-profit addressing the high prevalence of hepatitis B and liver cancer in Asian and Asian American communities. Founded in 1996, ALC fights hepatitis B through
CARE:
Collaboration, Advocacy, Research, and Education/Outreach.
Internship Details:
Internship dates are from September 8, 2026 - June 3, 2027 Up to 10 hours per week during business hours, M-F, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Weekly internship meeting. Time to be mutually agreed upon by all interns. Attendance and participation from all interns for the annual youth leadership conference and designated outreach events.
Responsibilities:
  • Edit short-form and long-form video content for ALC campaigns and events (including Hepatitis Day Events, Join Jade Campaign, and other initiatives)
  • Create motion graphics, subtitles, animated CTAs, and branded video assets
  • Edit footage to be repurposable for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms
  • Manage and update ALC social media channels, especially Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn through both photo and video posts
  • Write engaging captions and post copy optimized for reach and audience engagement
  • Monitor social media trends and develop trendy content ideas for TikTok, Reels, and other short-form platforms
  • Maintain consistent branding, tone, and visual identity across video and social media content
  • Track social media performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a BA in Film/Media, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or related program
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Portfolio recommended
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or other video editing tools
  • Experience creating or editing short-form video content for social media platforms
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn content formats
  • Awareness of current social media trends, especially Gen Z and short-form video trends
  • Understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, typography, branding, and audience engagement
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to follow brand guidelines and take direction
