Sep 8, 2026 Job Description Middle School Head Coed Cross-Country Coach 2026-2027 Season | Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School (OSA) Are you passionate about youth sports, teamwork, and helping student-athletes grow on and off the course? Old Sturbridge Academy is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Head Coach to lead our Middle School Coed Cross-Country team for the 2026-2027 season! Our team competes in the Massachusetts Charter Schools Athletic Organization (MCSAO), offering grades 5 through 8 an active, supportive, and competitive athletic experience. Position Overview & Schedule
Stipend:
$1,000
Student Grades:
5th•8th Grade (Coed)
Practice Schedule:
Tuesday•Friday | 3:30 PM•5:00 PM (4 days/week)
Locations:
Practices take place on OSA and Village grounds. Key Season Dates
Start Date:
Tentatively starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (or once team rosters are filled)
Cross-Country Championship Meet:
October 24, 2026 Key Responsibilities Plan and lead daily practices focused on endurance development, running technique, sportsmanship, and student safety. Guide and encourage student-athletes during competitions and meets. Maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, and school administration. Foster an inclusive, positive environment where all student-athletes can thrive. Requirements & Certifications All required certifications must be completed prior to the start of the season. Courses and certifications are provided completely free of charge: First Aid / CPR Certification Medical Delegation Form Online Concussion Safety Course How to Apply We are eager to fill these positions as soon as possible!
