Job Description

2026-2027 Season | Old Sturbridge Academy Charter Public School (OSA)

Are you passionate about youth sports, teamwork, and helping student-athletes grow on and off the field? Old Sturbridge Academy is looking for energetic, enthusiastic Head Coaches to lead our Middle School Head Coed Soccer Coach for the 2026-2027 season!

Our teams compete in the Massachusetts Charter Schools Athletic Organization (MCSAO), offering grades 5 through 8 an active, supportive, and competitive athletic experience.

Position Overview & Schedule

Stipend:

$1,000 per coaching position

Student Grades:

5th

•8th Grade (Coed)

Practice Schedule:

Tuesday

•Friday | 3:30 PM

•5:00 PM (4 days/week)

Locations:

Practices take place at OSA and at the Lower West Street Field in Southbridge, MA.

Key Season Dates

Start Date:

Tentatively starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026

Soccer Regular Season Ends:

October 29, 2026

Soccer Playoffs:

November 2

•November 10, 2026

Key Responsibilities

Plan and lead daily practices focused on skill development, sportsmanship, and student safety.

Guide and encourage student-athletes during competitions and meets.

Maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, and school administration.

Foster an inclusive, positive environment where all student-athletes can thrive.

Requirements & Certifications

All required certifications must be completed prior to the start of the season. Courses and certifications are provided completely free of charge:

First Aid / CPR Certification

Medical Delegation Form

Online Concussion Safety Course
