What started as a personal training facility has grown into a trusted destination for people who want more than just a place to work out—they want a coach, a plan, and a supportive community. As we continue to grow, we're excited to expand into Youth Strength & Conditioning and Sports Performance . Our goal is to help young athletes build a strong athletic foundation by improving strength, speed, agility, coordination, confidence, and resilience in a fun, challenging, and age-appropriate environment. We're not interested in creating the next social media highlight reel or chasing early specialization. We want to develop better athletes by teaching proper movement, building confidence, reducing the risk of injury, and helping kids develop a lifelong appreciation for fitness and hard work. Whether an athlete dreams of playing varsity sports, competing at the collegiate level, or simply becoming more confident and athletic, we want Odyssey Fitness to be a place where they can develop the skills and habits that serve them for years to come. We're looking for a coach who wants to help build this program from the ground up. About the Position We're looking for a passionate, energetic, and dependable Youth Strength & Conditioning Coach who believes coaching is about far more than writing workouts. This role is an opportunity to mentor young athletes, build confidence, teach discipline, and create an environment where kids enjoy training and look forward to coming back. You'll coach athletes ages 4-18 in structured small-group sessions focused on speed, agility, strength, power, coordination, injury prevention, and overall athletic development. You'll work closely with our leadership team to help build a best-in-class youth performance program while creating meaningful relationships with athletes and their families. If you're someone who loves seeing athletes gain confidence, improve their performance, and enjoy the process of getting better, we'd love to meet you. Responsibilities Coach youth strength and conditioning sessions for athletes ages 4-18. Teach proper movement mechanics and safe lifting technique. Lead speed, agility, acceleration, deceleration, and change-of-direction drills. Develop athletes through age-appropriate strength and conditioning programs. Foster a positive, energetic, and encouraging training environment. Build strong relationships with athletes and parents. Monitor athlete progress and provide ongoing feedback. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment. Collaborate with the Odyssey Fitness team to continue developing our youth sports performance program. Deliver an exceptional coaching experience that keeps athletes engaged and excited to train. Qualifications/Preferred Qualifications CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) SCCC (Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified) Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or a related field CPR/AED Certification Previous experience coaching youth, middle school, or high school athletes
