We are seeking a mature, proven baseball professional to oversee both the operational foundation of our organization and help direct on-field player development. Position Overview The Director of Baseball Operations & Assistant Coach is a dual-impact leadership role responsible for maintaining the operational excellence of our baseball program while driving high-level player development. We are specifically seeking an experienced leader with a background in high school, collegiate, or professional coaching who understands the standards, discipline, and detailed logistics required to run a high-performing program. This individual will bridge administrative leadership with on-field instruction, ensuring our schedules, budgets, facilities, and coaching staff operate seamlessly. Key Responsibilities 1.

Baseball Operations & Administration Scheduling & Competition:

Manage master game schedules, tournament entries, field rentals, practice facility allocations, and umpire assignments.

Travel Logistics:

Coordinate team travel, hotel room blocks, transportation, and meal logistics for away games and showcases.

Budget & Financial Oversight:

Assist in managing seasonal operational budgets, facility expense tracking, and gear/equipment procurement.

Vendor & Facility Relations:

Serve as the primary liaison for facility managers, league officials, tournament directors, vendors, and service providers.

Parent & Player Communication:

Serve as a clear, authoritative point of contact for family communications regarding logistics, schedules, expectations, and organizational updates. 2.

On-Field Coaching & Player Development Assistant Coaching:

Assist with team practices, direct in-game strategy, and provide expert, position-specific instruction (hitting, pitching, or defense).

Curriculum & Standards:

Implement high-level tactical and mechanical development programs consistent with high school and collegiate recruiting standards.

Remote & In-Person Evaluations:

Oversee athlete evaluation tools, video breakdowns, and player progress reports.

Coach Mentorship:

Guide, evaluate, and mentor other assistant coaches to ensure organizational coaching standards are met across all age divisions.

Qualifications & Requirements Coaching Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of coaching experience at the High School Varsity, Collegiate (NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA), or Professional level ( required ).

Operational Background:

Demonstrated experience managing team logistics, master scheduling, lodging, travel budgets, and facility operations.

Leadership & Maturity:

High emotional intelligence, professional presence, and executive maturity necessary to communicate effectively with parents, players, collegiate recruiters, and vendors.

Baseball Network:

Strong existing relationships within collegiate coaching networks, high school programs, and tournament directors preferred.

Administrative Tech Skills:

Proficiency with operational software (Google Workspace, scheduling tools, and video/data analysis tools like Rapsodo, TrackMan, or Blast Motion).

Flexibility:

Willingness to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel during peak competitive seasons.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:

$65,000 - $85,000 annually (commensurate with coaching experience and administrative background)

Performance Bonus:

Additional commission/incentive structure tied to player retention, recruiting and program growth
