If you have a background in figure skating, hockey, or speed skating and enjoy teaching others, this role turns your experience into real impact for kids across the community. Schedule, Pay & Benefits Part-time, seasonal position Monday through Thursday, 10am to 3pm, with flexibility built in Hours increase during winter and decrease in summer Scheduled during school hours, ideal for balancing other commitments Pay range: $15 to $17 per hour Friends and Family activity vouchers at all three venues Discounts on retail, concessions, and sport programs Why This Role At the Utah Olympic Oval, you will help give inclusive, accessible programs that introduce kids to figure skating, hockey, and speed skating. Job Requirements Must-Haves:
Background in skating: figure, hockey, or speed 2+ years of skating experience Some experience with group instruction Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable teaching in both indoor and outdoor settings, staying active and demonstrating skills throughout the day
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience working with kids Background in customer service
USFSA, US
Speed, or USA Hockey certification CPR or similar certification Day in the Life Some days, you're at the Oval tying skates and teaching students the fundamentals of ice skating. Other days, you're at a local school with a bag of equipment, introducing kids to skates, sticks, and pads for the first time. You keep students engaged and active in both settings, and you're always ready to talk with them about continuing through the Oval's "Learn To" programs. Every lesson gives a kid their first real experience with ice sports and plants the seed for something they could carry for years.
