Job Description

Tenure- Track Assistant Professor of Physics Location Hillsdale, Michigan Open Date Sep 04, 2026 Description Applications are invited for a tenure-track assistant professor position that starts in August 2027. A commitment to teaching both physics majors and undergraduate non-majors is essential. The Physics Department is well equipped and has 19,000 sq. ft. of floor space. Hillsdale College is a small (1500 students), fiercely independent Christian liberal arts college dedicated to the perpetuation of freedom through serious learning and moral formation. It is committed to the Western intellectual tradition and requires genuine excellence in undergraduate teaching. Salary is competitive with similar schools. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field is required.
