Job Description

Assistant Professor of Computer Science Position Number:
1872 Fall 2027 Search The University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG) seeks applications for one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science starting August 1, 2027. We seek candidates with exceptional potential in research and teaching. Applicants with a research focus in Computer Systems or Theoretical Computer Science are preferred, but those whose research can build upon the department's current research strengths, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, security, algorithms, databases, data analytics, data mining, and networking are also encouraged to apply. We will also consider applications from excellent candidates in other areas of computer science. The Department of Computer Science at UNCG is a thriving department with an established, ABET- accredited B.S. degree program, and active M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs. The department continues to maintain a rigorous curriculum and strong research profile, responding to rapid changes in the field and increasing demands for computing research. It currently has 7 research-active tenured and tenure-track faculty members, as well as professional track and part-time faculty.
