The Piner-Olivet Union School District has outstanding academic and student-centered programs that support all students. The district of approximately 1,250 students operates three TK-6 grade elementary schools: Jack London, Olivet Charter, and Morrice Schaefer Charter. For the secondary students, the Piner-Olivet Charter School serves students in grades 7th & 8th, while Northwest Prep serves students in grades 7th and 12th. The average size of our elementary schools is about 300 students, while our secondary schools are even smaller. Students are given the attention each one deserves. Job Summary Job Summary The principal shall be responsible for the general management of the school and school personnel. As the administrator of the school, the principal shall be responsible for the enforcement of the State Education Code, the rules and regulations of the California State Board of Education, the rules and regulations of the District governing board, the provisions of the certificated contract, and the administrative rules and regulations of the District superintendent. The principal shall be under the direct supervision of the superintendent.
