Front Desk Support Part-Time Salary Depends on Qualifications Location Main Campus, 1247 Jimmie Kerr Rd., Graham, NC Job Type Part-Time Job Number 2026-00071 Division Student Experience Department Academic Support Center Opening Date 08/20/2026 Closing Date Continuous Description Benefits Description The Part-Time Front Desk Administrator provides reception and administrative support during evening hours across designated campus locations, including Student Services, Main Building, Gee Building and the Literacy building, on the main campus in Graham and the Dillingham Center in Burlington, while providing first-class customer service in every interaction. While specific duties may vary slightly by location, the overall responsibility is the same: to deliver high-quality, consistent customer service to students, employees, and visitors. This position serves as a welcoming presence for evening students and community members, helping ensure they receive accurate information, appropriate referrals, and a positive campus experience. The role also includes assisting with the college-wide switchboard and managing calls after normal business hours. This part-time role primarily covers evening shifts, with some flexibility for occasional weekend hours as needed. Example of Duties Serve as the first point of contact for students, employees, and visitors during evening hours. Greet visitors professionally and provide friendly, accurate assistance. Manage the college-wide switchboard during assigned shifts, answering and routing calls to appropriate departments. Provide general information about the College and make accurate referrals for further support. Check in students and visitors for evening appointments, testing, or meetings. Assist with registration support for College and Career Readiness, Workforce and Continuing Education, and Curriculum programs as needed. Maintain a working knowledge of college operations, services, and policies to provide clear and helpful information. Support evening campus events and activities, including use of the 25Live scheduling system for updates and event coordination. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure students and visitors are served consistently and effectively. Typical Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills, with a welcoming demeanor. Ability to multitask and manage high volumes of in-person and phone interactions during busy evening hours. Flexibility and dependability in managing varying evening assignments. Basic proficiency with office and scheduling software (25Live experience preferred). ?
