Job Description

The Administrative Services Assistant will support the department by assisting with the organization, digitization, and secure disposal of documents. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented student who is comfortable handling confidential information and performing routine clerical tasks with accuracy. This is a part-time position of no more than 20 hours per week. Applicants must have completed their FAFSA for the 2026-2027 academic year and have been determined eligible for Federal Work Study. The Student Worker provides temporary, part-time support to Klamath Community College departments through a variety of administrative, operational, academic, technical, customer service, or program-related activities. Duties will vary based on the needs of the department and the specific position. This is a temporary, as-needed/scheduled position of up to 20 hours per week. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours, and actual hours worked will vary based on departmental needs, student availability, and the established work schedule. Student Workers are expected to perform assigned duties responsibly, maintain confidentiality as appropriate, provide professional and courteous service, and follow Klamath Community College policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the position description satisfactorily. Scan paper files and convert them into digital formats Organize and archive electronic files in accordance with department procedures Download, label, and sort digital documents for storage Shred physical paperwork once digitized and approved for disposal Maintain confidentiality and data security standards Perform other light administrative tasks as assigned Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Regulations. Follow and enforce all KCC policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to fulfill responsibilities and tasks consistently. Must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to follow instructions and work independently. Must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prior experience using Microsoft Office and standard office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, and scanners is preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Must be a current student at Klamath Community College. Must have completed the FAFSA for 2026-2027 academic year and been determined eligible for Federal Work Study.
