Position Information Position Title Coordinator of High School Dual Enrollment Advising & Pathways Requisition Number S02470P Position Category Staff Campus Location Weber State Davis - Layton, UT Hours per week 40 Months per year 12 Alternate work schedule Pay Grade E31 Salary FLSA Exempt Job Summary/Basic Function Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Advising and Pathways, the Concurrent Enrollment Coordinator serves as a dedicated liaison between Weber State University (WSU) and partner high schools. The coordinator streamlines communications, identifies credential and pathway opportunities, provides structured academic advising for concurrent enrollment and Early College students, advances workforce readiness, and fosters strategic partnerships with the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. This position will work supporting the Criminal Justice department and other campus departments and programs as assigned. The coordinator will primarily work from local high schools and WSU campus locations. High School Dual Enrollment is a program that allows high school students to earn college-level credits while completing their high school credentials. Concurrent enrollment courses are taught at the high schools, with students paying $5 per credit hour. This allows students to access college-level courses at a significantly reduced rate and can earn a credential upon graduating from high school. Standard hours of operation are Mondays through Thursdays 8:00 to 5:00 and Fridays 8:00 to 4:30; periodic evening and weekend work may be required.
Required Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree. One year of full-time college employment experience in academic advisement, registration, admissions, student services, enrollment services, or equivalent in higher education and/or the K-12 system.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred:
Strong verbal communication, written communication, listening, record keeping, and information management skills. Ability to retain knowledge concerning university and department policies, think critically, and make appropriate judgment calls regarding high school partnerships and pathways. Ability to become a skilled user of Banner and other technological tools upon which WSU relies. Customer-service orientation, due to the importance of positive contacts with internal and external constituents, including high school districts and faculty. Ability and willingness to work with colleagues and supervisors to build a collaborative work schedule. A successful candidate will be willing to Background Check?
