Job Summary To assist in the daily operation of the Sheridan College Mailroom. Individuals must be able to work independently. Reports To Facilities Support Supervisor

Education/Qualifications

  • Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
  • Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
  • Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Creative and the ability to propose and initiate new ideas.
  • Ability to accept critical feedback and integrate suggestions into ideas.
  • The ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to understand the importance of confidentiality and to serve as an ethical role model for others.
  • Strong interest in helping students connect with the college Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Ability to resolve conflict situations and make decisions
  • Work independently and with others and willingness to learn.

    Responsibility/Duty
  • Sort in-coming mail
  • Process out-going mail
  • Determine best method for sending outgoing mail
  • Assist in tracking certified, registered, and insured mail
  • Be visible and available to answer questions, telephone calls, and emails
  • Reconcile all college deliveries with purchase orders
  • Basic cash handling
  • Other duties as assigned.
