Elementary & Middle School Math Teacher Job Summary LETA Education is seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and reliable Math Teacher to work with elementary and middle school students in a small-group and private tutoring environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners and is able to explain mathematical concepts clearly while helping students build strong foundational skills, confidence, and effective problem-solving habits. Students may range from those who need additional support with school math to advanced students looking for enrichment and accelerated learning. Responsibilities Teach math to elementary and middle school students in small-group and/or private sessions Provide instruction in foundational math, pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and other grade-appropriate concepts Adapt instruction based on each student's grade level, ability, and learning needs Help students strengthen calculation, reasoning, and problem-solving skills Support students with school curriculum, homework, assessments, and concept review as needed Provide enrichment and advanced instruction for students working above grade level Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback Prepare or adapt practice materials and assignments when needed Maintain a positive, structured, and encouraging classroom environment Communicate professionally with LETA Education staff regarding student progress Qualifications Strong understanding of elementary and middle school mathematics Ability to explain math concepts clearly and in an age-appropriate way Patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable working with children Strong communication and classroom management skills Previous tutoring, teaching, or experience working with children is preferred Experience teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra is highly preferred Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in college or graduate school is preferred Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred Preferred Experience Experience in private tutoring, after-school programs, learning centers, or elementary/middle school math instruction is a plus.
