Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic for Kindergarten Prep Teacher for our faith based program. We seek a teacher to inspire and nurture young learners at the foundational stage of their educational journey. In this vital role, you will create a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional development, and early academic skills. Your enthusiasm for early childhood education will help children develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and basic science concepts aligned with early childhood standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschool-aged children. Manage daily classroom activities, including circle time, play-based learning, and structured lessons to promote child development instruction. Use behavior management strategies to support positive behavior and social skills development among students. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents. Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs within the classroom. Requirements Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued. Knowledge of child development principles, childhood development milestones, and early intervention techniques. Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred; familiarity with standardized testing and literacy education is a plus. Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development best practices across multiple domains such as math, literacy, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administrators. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure child safety at all times. Experience with classroom management tools and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in early childhood settings. $27,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
