Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Montessori Infant and Toddler Teacher or Guide, dedicated to nurturing the developmental journey of children from birth to three years old. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate Montessori-based curriculum tailored for infants and toddlers, emphasizing sensory exploration, language acquisition, and motor skills. Foster a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and positive social interactions among young children. Engage in daily child care routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices with patience and professionalism. Observe and assess each child's progress in areas such as cognitive development, emotional regulation, and physical growth; document findings for ongoing planning. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's milestones, behaviors, and developmental needs through clear and compassionate updates. Manage classroom activities efficiently by organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are upheld at all times. Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate Montessori principles like hands-on learning and individualized instruction while adhering to mandated reporting laws when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings, preferably within Montessori or similar educational frameworks. Knowledge of child development stages from birth to age three, including early intervention strategies and special education considerations. Certification in first aid and CPR; ongoing training in childhood welfare and safety protocols. Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management techniques suited for infants and toddlers. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare compliance. Passion for early childhood education with a focus on fostering literacy education, physical activity (including experience teaching physical education), math concepts appropriate for young learners, and overall preschool teaching excellence.
