Position Overview:
Empower Memphis is seeking dynamic, student-focused Third Grade Classroom Teacher to establish a strong academic foundation in our second year. Teachers will play a critical role in building an engaging and rigorous classroom culture while setting the standard for instructional excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Excellence:
Plan and deliver high-quality, standards-aligned lessons that meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
Data-Driven Instruction:
Assess and analyze student performance data to adjust instruction and ensure academic growth.
Classroom Culture:
Build and maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
Student Development:
Implement social-emotional learning (SEL) strategies to support holistic student development.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in professional development and actively seek feedback to refine teaching practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Valid Tennessee teaching license or willingness to obtain one before the start date. Proven experience in classroom teaching with measurable student achievement outcomes. Strong classroom management skills and cultural competency. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Passion for educational equity and student success.
