Job Description

Duties (include but are not limited to):
  • Demonstrate knowledge of subject(s) through instructional practices
  • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of Common Core State Standards
  • Integrated technology use in classroom instruction
  • Collaborative model of instruction with interventionist, special educators and special area teachers
  • Instructor of Multi-Tiered System of Supports
  • Response to Instruction and Intervention
  • Document, chart and use assessment information to define instructional groupings which is corrective and informative
  • Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment through the knowledge of
    Positive Behavior Supports and Interventions.
  • Shared electronic lesson planning
  • Direct and supervise the work of paraprofessionals, volunteers and student teachers assigned to the classroom
  • Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social
    progress of all students
  • Implement administrative directives in a professional manner (re: new programs and policies)
  • Adhere to all District policies and regulations
