The teacher will plan and deliver engaging, small-group instruction aligned with Texas standards, helping students strengthen reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical-thinking skills. Responsibilities Teach English Language Arts to Grades 3-7 students in a small-group setting Plan engaging lessons aligned with Texas standards and student needs Teach reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, editing, and literary analysis Differentiate instruction to support students at varying academic levels Prepare students for classroom assessments and STAAR-related skills Maintain a positive, structured learning environment Communicate student progress and needs with families and academy staff Requirements Experience teaching or tutoring English Language Arts at the elementary and/or middle school level Strong knowledge of reading, writing, grammar, and literacy instruction Ability to make lessons engaging while strengthening foundational skills Experience working with diverse learners and adapting instruction as needed Strong classroom-management, communication, and organizational skills Reliable, patient, professional, and comfortable working with students and parents Bachelor's degree in education, English, or a related field preferred Compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates based on experience, qualifications, and role fit.
