https://jobs.gfcmsu.edu/postings/2581 The director of admissions leads the college recruitment and admission processes, orientation of new students, and ensures all admissions policies and processes are followed and communicated clearly to all parties. This position typically demands an on campus work day from 8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday, but work days and times may vary. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Supervise and mentor admissions staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and professional development. 2. Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment and admissions strategies to meet enrollment targets. 3. Oversee student recruitment activities, including high school visits, college fairs, campus events, and virtual outreach. 4. Oversee the campus customer service management system (CRM). 5. Manage the budgets for admissions and recruitment. Required Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. 2. 3-5 years of progressive experience in college admissions. 3. Knowledge of and experience working with customer service management (CRM) systems. 4. Experience using the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications 1. Master's degree. 2. Ability to engage and collaborate across departmental lines. 3. Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills. 4. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty and administrators. 5. Demonstrated ability to communicate well with a wide range of student populations, i.e. students of different ages, abilities, interests, backgrounds, needs, etc. Physical Demands This position is performed primarily in an indoor office environment that may be busy and fast-paced, with frequent interruptions and competing priorities. The role requires the ability to effectively perform job duties in an open workspace and utilize computer and office technology extensively.
