10/1/2026 12:00 AM Central Description The candidate can expect to teach a broad range of legal studies courses determined by the evolving needs of the department. Typical load is five classes each semester, five days a week with a possible combination of day and evening courses. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students as well as online teaching experience is highly desirable Minimum Qualifications Juris Doctor degree and at time of hiring, a licensed attorney. Be knowledgeable about the paralegal profession and committed to paralegal education and utilization. For Paralegal courses, previous experience working with or as a paralegal. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Commitment to teaching a student body diverse in ability, age, ethnicity, race, and sexual orientation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior college teaching/program coordinating experience in an American Bar Association approved Paralegal Program. Prior college teaching experience in Criminal Justice Systems. Prior experience in civil or criminal law. Teaching experience with a variety of delivery modes Experience teaching online is highly desirable Experience with academic outcomes assessment, data collection, and analysis. Experience with curricula development.

STATUS/SALARY:
This is a regular tenured full-time faculty position with salary to be determined by placement on the faculty salary schedule commensurate with education and experience.
