Faulkner University's Pre‑K program seeks a dedicated After‑School Teacher to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners during the 2:30 pm‑5:30 pm window, Monday through Friday. The role involves supervising children, delivering age‑appropriate activities, and communicating with families and classroom staff. Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field. Minimum of 1 year experience working with preschool children. Current CPR/First Aid certification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Background check clearance and adherence to child protection policies. Reliable transportation and ability to arrive before 2:30 pm. Familiarity with Faulkner University policies is a plus. Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 2:30‑5:30 pm. Supervise children during after‑school hours, ensuring safety and well‑being. Plan and lead age‑appropriate educational and recreational activities. Assist with homework and reinforce classroom learning. Monitor and record attendance and behavior. Communicate daily updates to parents and classroom teachers. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment. Implement behavior management strategies consistent with school policies. Prepare and serve healthy snacks according to guidelines. Provide first aid or emergency response as needed. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions.
