Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic School Music Instructor specializing in Vocals to inspire and nurture students' musical talents. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging vocal curriculum, lead inspiring singing classes, and foster a love for music among children and youth. Your expertise will help students develop their vocal skills, confidence, and creativity through innovative teaching methods and a supportive environment. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive vocal curriculum tailored to different age groups and skill levels, integrating creative arts instruction and performance techniques. Lead engaging classroom sessions that incorporate singing, choreography, and musical instrument integration to enhance students' overall musicality. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment that encourages participation and confidence. Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adapting lesson plans to meet individual needs. Collaborate with colleagues on performance programs Requirements Proven experience working with children and youth in educational or arts settings, including preschool or classroom environments. Strong background in teaching music, vocals, performance Demonstrated ability in curriculum development, classroom management, behavior management, and childhood development principles. Skills in choreography, dance instruction, teaching instrumental performance, and working with students on creative arts projects. Knowledge of teaching arts across various mediums including performing arts, visual arts, and creative expression techniques. Experience with specializations such as creative arts instruction or adult education is a plus. Ability to foster a supportive environment for students of diverse backgrounds while encouraging artistic exploration. Certification or training in childhood development or behavior management is preferred but not required.
