Shining Star Music Academy is hiring music teachers in the Orlando area for immediate openings and the 2026 Fall Semester! We provide in-home music lessons, while our team handles scheduling, communication, and administrative support so you can focus on what you love—teaching music. We are currently seeking teachers for guitar, piano, and drums , with a particularly strong need for teachers who can serve students in Kissimmee and surrounding areas . We are also interested in qualified teachers who can teach other instruments, including violin, cello, flute, and more. We have students available during weekday morning, afternoon, and evening hours , with opportunities to build a consistent teaching schedule based on your availability and preferred service area. Job Type Part-time Flexible hours based on your availability and desired teaching schedule In-home music lessons Start Date Immediate openings are available, with additional students beginning throughout the 2026 Fall Semester. Compensation $29.50-$33.00 per teaching hour $14.00/hour for driving time between your first and last lesson Work Location In-home lessons throughout the Orlando area Strong current need in Kissimmee and surrounding areas Minimum Requirements Please do not apply if you do not meet all requirements: Music lesson experience through private lessons, formal study, and/or performance Live locally in or near Orlando, FL Willing to teach at least 2 hours per week Reliable vehicle Commitment to pursuing excellence in your instrument(s) Performance experience Self-directed and responsible Punctual and professional Passion for sharing music Flexible and student-centered teaching style Also Desired (Not Required) Experience teaching any subject Experience working with children Ability to teach multiple instruments Experience teaching guitar, piano, drums, violin, cello, or flute Availability to teach in Kissimmee and surrounding areas Why Join Us? How many years of private lesson have you taken? This position would require you to drive to students' homes for in person lessons. Do you have a reliable vehicle? Piano, Guitar, Voice (beginner) Which area of Orlando, Florida do you live in ? (We don't currently consider teachers who live outside of this area, as the commute isn't ideal in a driving job) What is your current availability for teaching? (For example, Mondays 10am-4pm, Tuesdays, etc) Most of our students are piano students. If your primary instrument is not piano but have had classes or lessons in piano yourself as a student, would you be comfortable teaching beginner level piano to young children? (We can provide additional training for this as long as you have had some experience learning piano before) A 7-year-old student is frustrated and wants to quit mid-lesson. How do you pivot the energy in the room?
