Candidates must hold a degree in Music Performance or Music Education and have experience both performing and teaching voice across multiple genres . A strong background in vocal pedagogy is essential. We prioritize healthy, sustainable vocal technique alongside artistic growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with students ages 10 and up , tailoring lessons to individual goals, learning styles, and skill levels. Availability Requirement (Very Important): This position specifically requires consistent availability on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays , primarily during afternoon and evening hours . Qualifications Degree in Music Performance or Music Education Strong foundation in vocal pedagogy Experience performing and teaching in multiple vocal styles Comfortable teaching students age 10+ Reliable Tuesday and/or Thursday availability Flexible with evening teaching hours Professional, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style About M&M Music, Inc. M&M Music, Inc. is a locally owned and operated music academy nestled in the South Hills of Pittsburgh , dedicated to advocating for the importance of music education. We provide everything a private-lesson music teacher needs to run a successful studio , including: Cheerful, professional facility with free parking Full receptionist and enrollment support Scheduling software and automated lesson confirmations Incoming pre-payment processing W-2 payroll (not 1099) Recital planning Recording and production services Digital and gig marketing support We pay our instructors 50% commission (teacher receives $20 for a $40, 30-minute lesson, and $37.50 for a $75, 60-minute lesson) and cover the the majority of all business expenses .
