Great Hearts:
Fine Arts are not just electives but part of the core curriculum at
Great Hearts:
all students study music, drama, poetry and studio art. Music coursework includes both "applied" or performance foci as well as substantive music theory, history, and appreciation. We boast a stellar faculty across the fine arts curriculum, most of whom are professional artists and performers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner. Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment. Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships. Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
Required/Preferred Education:
Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role Certification is not required for general education All majors are welcome US Work Authorization required Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance in accordance with state requirements.
Travel required:
