Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum that integrates Christian teachings with music education, including singing, instrumental performance, and musical theory Lead dynamic classroom sessions focused on teaching music fundamentals, choreography, dance instruction, and theater arts aligned with Christian themes Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive, respectful learning environment for students of various ages and skill levels Plan and execute performances, choir practices, and arts projects that showcase students' talents and reinforce faith-based messages Incorporate visual arts such as photography or sewing into creative projects that complement music lessons Adapt lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of learners, including early childhood education, special education, and preschool programs Collaborate with other educators and youth program leaders to organize special events, recitals, or community outreach activities that celebrate student achievements Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or youth program settings, especially in arts or music instruction Strong background in teaching visual & performing arts, including choreography, dance instruction, theater experience, and musical instruments Expertise in curriculum development tailored to creative arts instruction within a faith-based context Skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques to foster a nurturing learning environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate singing, instrumental performance, choreography, and other creative arts forms Experience working with special populations or special education needs is a plus Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with students and parents Join us as a Christian Music Teacher where your enthusiasm for the arts fuels young spirits!
