Job Description

Make a difference supporting students with diverse abilities as a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment. This rewarding contract opportunity, beginning September 2026 and running through the end of November, serves students in Blaine at Northdale and Roosevelt Middle Schools. Youll work Monday through Friday, full-time (37.5 hours per week), delivering engaging physical education experiences tailored to each students needs in a collaborative school setting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and current Minnesota DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) teaching license is required Experience teaching Adaptive Physical Education within a school environment preferred Ability to build rapport with students of varying backgrounds and abilities Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and organization Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement adaptive physical education lessons for students with diverse abilities Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting activities as needed to support individual goals Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate student records and documentation in line with district guidelines Foster an encouraging environment that supports each students physical growth and social-emotional development This contract position offers the chance to utilize your adaptive physical education expertise, impact students lives, and connect with a supportive educational team.
