Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher, where you'll support student growth and wellness by delivering tailored physical education services across two vibrant middle schools. In this role, you'll foster inclusion and engage students with diverse abilities through creative, adaptive activities. With a set schedule from September through November, you'll collaborate with dedicated teams in a professional and supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
Current Minnesota DAPE licensure is required Previous experience in adaptive or special education physical education settings is highly desirable Deep understanding of adaptive physical education best practices and compliance requirements Proven ability to adapt curriculum and equipment to meet a range of student needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with both students and multidisciplinary staff Must provide an up-to-date resume along with licensing information for considerationCore Responsibilities:
Deliver quality, individualized adaptive physical education instruction to students on your caseload Develop, implement, and modify lesson plans according to IEPs and student goals Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to monitor student progress Organize and supervise a variety of physical activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment Document participation, progress, and outcomes per district and state requirements Support school-wide initiatives promoting student health and positive physical engagementPerks of This Contract Role:
