Full Job Description Preschool Assistant Director FutureLand Child Development Center Diamond Bar, California Full-Time PositionAnnual Compensation:
$50,504-$54,704, depending on qualifications and experience FutureLand Child Development Center is seeking a warm, organized, dependable, and experienced Preschool Assistant Director to join our leadership team. We provide care and education for children from 6 weeks through 12 years old in a nurturing and engaging environment that incorporates early childhood education, Montessori-inspired learning, and bilingual Mandarin/English experiences. Working closely with the Director/Owner, the Assistant Director will help oversee daily school operations while supporting our teachers, children, and families. Responsibilities Support the Director with daily school operations and administrative responsibilities Help maintain compliance with California Community Care Licensing and Title 22 requirements Assist with staff scheduling, classroom ratios, breaks, and coverage Supervise, support, mentor, and coach teachers and classroom staff Maintain employee files, children's records, licensing documentation, and other school records Communicate professionally, respectfully, and warmly with parents and families Assist with enrollment, school tours, new-family orientation, and parent inquiries Monitor classrooms to help ensure a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment Support curriculum implementation and maintain high standards of classroom quality Assist with teacher training, staff meetings, and performance follow-up Help coordinate school events, parent activities, and special programs Step into classrooms as needed to support ratios and daily school operations Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional campus Assume leadership responsibilities when the Director is away from the center Qualifications Must meet California Community Care Licensing requirements for a qualified preschool teacher Minimum of 18 ECE/CD semester units required Administration or Staff Relations coursework strongly preferred Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool required Previous experience as a Lead Teacher, Site Supervisor, Assistant Director, or in another leadership role preferred Working knowledge of California Title 22 childcare licensing regulations Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills Comfortable working collaboratively with children, teachers, families, and administrators Reliable, professional, positive, and capable of managing multiple priorities CPR/First Aid certification preferred; certification must be obtained if not currently held Infant/Toddler qualifications are a plus Mandarin/English bilingual ability is a plus Candidates who already meet California Child Care Center Director qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply. FutureLand Compensation Annual Compensation:
$50,504-$54,704 Final compensation will be based on education, ECE units, credentials, leadership experience, licensing qualifications, and relevant skills. Candidates with extensive childcare leadership experience, California Child Care Center Director qualifications, Infant/Toddler qualifications, or bilingual Mandarin/English skills may be considered toward the higher end of the range.
