Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. In this role, you will support children's developmental needs through attentive supervision, activity planning, and effective communication with parents and guardians. Responsibilities Supervise children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children, ensuring their safety at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Provide attentive care during daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and outdoor play. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise. Maintain a clean and organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare. Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care when necessary. Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training is preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and guidance strategies. Experience caring for infants through elementary school-age children, including toddler care and preschooler activities. Strong communication skills for engaging with parents, team members, and children alike. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect.
