Position Summary Treasured Kids is hiring a caring, energetic Childcare Teacher or Teacher Assistant to help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom for children from 6 weeks through 12 years old. You will support daily routines, learning activities, classroom organization, and family communication while making sure every child feels seen, protected, and encouraged. Responsibilities Actively supervise children at all times and follow classroom ratios, safety procedures, and center policies. Follow the assigned daily schedule and teach or support age-appropriate curriculum, play, music, movement, and creative activities. Assist with feeding, toileting, diapering, rest time, transitions, and other daily care routines with patience and respect. Count children at least every 10 minutes and before, during, and after every classroom or playground transition. Observe children's health and behavior and immediately report fever, vomiting, diarrhea, injury, or unusual changes to center leadership. Complete parent communication logs and accurate incident reports within required timelines. Keep the classroom clean, organized, welcoming, and free of hazards. Keep personal items, hot drinks, glass, cleaning products, and unsafe materials out of children's reach. Support meals, classroom coverage, enrollment changes, and other center needs with flexibility. Use Brightwheel, CenterPilot, and other assigned tools consistently. Participate in required meetings, orientation, and professional development. Required Qualifications At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to complete the required background check, fingerprinting, orientation, and training. Current First Aid and CPR credentials, or ability to obtain them before independent classroom assignment. Ability to complete at least 24 hours of annual child-development training and all required new-hire training. Positive, respectful communication with children, families, coworkers, and leaders. Preferred Qualifications Previous childcare, classroom, camp, youth-program, or early-learning experience. Dependable attendance, strong observation skills, and a calm approach during busy transitions. Physical and Work Requirements This position regularly involves standing, walking, sitting on the floor, bending, reaching, assisting children, and lifting items or children as permitted by center policy.
