Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated Childcare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters children's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and implement daily lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and age-appropriate developmental goals. Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging classroom environment. Foster positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and regular updates. Observe and document children's behavior, growth, and development; communicate concerns with the Director and parents. Ensure classroom and outdoor play areas are supervised at all times, following all safety and health protocols. Support children's self-help skills, social development, and emotional regulation. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a team-oriented and supportive work environment. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training as required. Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting strongly preferred. CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of child development principles and best practices. Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand, bend, and engage in active play.
Work Schedule:
Varied shifts Monday through Friday during center hours 6:30-5:30. Flexibility is a plus.
