Aug 17, 2026 Job Description This position is a parECE-6th grade After Care Teacher•Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) Part-time hourly position of approximately 15 hours per week when school is in session. Must be available to work between 2:15 pm•6:00 pm, ideally Monday through Friday.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure the safety and security of students and staff at all times Ensure daily activities are running according to safety and licensing protocols Ensure supplies and snacks are distributed to children Assist in other student areas as directed by the Aftercare Coordinator Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Attending and completing all recommended training to meet state and health department licensing requirements prior to their first day of employment. Maintain ratios at all times in accordance with licensing requirements. Maintain best practices for body safety and sex abuse prevention according to training protocols Supervising the children with their safety at the forefront. Assisting in the planning and preparing of the child care environment, setting up the environment, and preparing needed materials and supplies. Supporting the general housekeeping tasks needed in the environment. Maintaining professional attitude and collaboration with colleagues. Serve snacks to children daily.

Intentionality in facilitating restorative practices between children Ability to react and move quickly Collaborative teamwork approach with co-workers Inclusivity of all children, families, and staff Patience Skills in time management Be able to be flexible and adapt to schedule changes Be able to lift, push, and carry up to 40 lbs, sit for 30 minutes, stand for 1 hour Be perceptive and aware of all children in your care Be able to communicate effectively with children and staff
