Early Childhood Education Art Educator Join our Team of Teaching Artists to teach dynamic and engaging art projects on a weekly basis and during no school art camp days to youth ages 1.5-6 years. We are looking for an individual to teach art projects and create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth and school readiness through play based activities. Experience in curriculum design, classroom management and parent collaboration to support early learning success is a must. This will be done in collaboration with a team. We are hiring an early childhood art educator for programs that meet on Tuesday from 5-6pm, Wednesday from 9-10am and from 9am-12pm on days that school is not in session for both the Jefferson County and Denver Public School systems. This position has the potential to transition into Summer Art Camp instruction as well. We are asking for a minimum one year commitment. Pay is $25-$30 per hour
DOE Timeline:

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated experience working with or teaching children Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques suitable for diverse learners Demonstrated experience of art making, all materials and modalities are welcome. Background in childhood development or special education enhances the ability to adapt lessons for all learners. Familiarity with working in inclusive environments that support special education needs is a plus.
