As a key leader in early childhood education, you will design and implement developmentally appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Create a warm, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and respect among children. Implement curriculum development strategies tailored to diverse learning needs, including special education and early intervention programs. Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques and classroom management practices to ensure a safe and productive environment. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and student teachers to promote professional growth and team cohesion. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, and maintain accurate documentation of student development. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood settings; prior classroom experience is essential. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and age-appropriate instructional strategies. Experience with special education needs, early intervention techniques, and literacy education is highly desirable. Demonstrated classroom management skills along with effective behavior management strategies. Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners clearly and professionally. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math skills, physical education activities, and standardized testing where applicable. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; familiarity with mandated reporting laws is essential.
