Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to oversee our Infant Classroom, creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners. As the Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enriching curriculum plans that promote early childhood development, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for infants to explore and grow. Your leadership will inspire a team of caregivers and foster strong relationships with families, supporting each child's unique needs and milestones. MUST HAVE 90HRS LEAD CERTIFICATION
Duties Develop and execute age-appropriate lesson plans that stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in infants. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and caregivers within the infant classroom, promoting best practices in child supervision and classroom management. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including pediatric first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws related to child welfare. Maintain accurate documentation of each child's developmental progress, health records, and daily activities for parent communication. Foster positive relationships with families through regular updates, conferences, and responsive communication about their child's growth and needs. Create a warm, inclusive environment that encourages exploration while supporting individual behaviors and developmental milestones. Oversee daily classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and sensory activities to ensure consistency and comfort for infants. Qualifications Proven experience working with infants in a childcare or early childhood education setting; preschool or daycare experience is highly valued. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers. Certification in first aid, CPR (including pediatric first aid), and knowledge of mandated reporting laws. Background in special education or experience working with children with disabilities is a plus. Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to guide young children effectively while maintaining safety standards. Effective communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration. Demonstrated ability to implement child development instruction tailored to individual needs. Prior experience in daycare center management or nannying/babysitting roles involving infant care is advantageous.
