$19.00/hourMonday-Friday | Shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM-6:00 PM Giggles Early Learning Center is looking for an experienced, caring, dependable Infant Teacher to join our Giggles family! This position works with children approximately 6 weeks to 18 months of age. We are specifically looking for an applicant who has previous experience working in a licensed child care center/daycare environment and understands the developmental, emotional, and physical needs of infants and young toddlers.

Required Qualifications Applicants must: Be at least 19 years of age Have previous experience working in a licensed daycare or child care center Meet or be able to document MSDE Office of Child Care qualifications for an Infant/Toddler Child Care Teacher Have approved early childhood/child development coursework and infant/toddler training required for the position Have 9 hours of approved Communication training or an approved college course Have 3 hours of approved ADA training Have completed or be eligible to complete required MSDE Basic Health & Safety training Have knowledge of MSDE Office of Child Care licensing requirements Be able to provide references verifying previous child care employment CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Training may be provided if the selected applicant is not currently certified.

Responsibilities The Infant Teacher will:

Provide nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate care for infants and young toddlers Implement classroom lesson and activity plans Support children's physical, cognitive, language, social, and emotional development Observe children and document developmental observations Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment Follow all

licensing, health, safety, supervision, and classroom requirements Communicate professionally and effectively with parents and families Provide information and support to parents in a positive and nonjudgmental manner Work cooperatively with co-teachers, aides, administration, and other team members Build positive relationships with enrolled children and their families Create an atmosphere of care, respect, professionalism, and teamwork Welcome families, visitors, and community partners in a professional and hospitable manner Attend required staff meetings, trainings, continuing education opportunities, and center events Uphold the mission, vision, values, policies, and expectations of Giggles Early Learning Center Classroom Expectations Our infant classrooms maintain Maryland-required staffing ratios. Infant teachers must be comfortable working as part of a teaching team caring for a group of up to 6 infants with appropriate additional classroom staff.

Candidates should have:

Strong classroom management and organizational skills Knowledge of infant and toddler behavioral and developmental stages Strong verbal and written communication skills Patience, flexibility, dependability, and good judgment The ability to accept supervision and feedback Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to: Regularly get up and down from the floor Sit and interact with children at floor level Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as necessary to perform essential job duties Actively supervise and care for infants throughout the workday Schedule This position is Monday through Friday. Scheduled shifts may vary within our operating hours of 6:30 AM-6:00 PM. Applicants must have reliable availability within this time frame. Pay Starting at $19.00 per hour. Final compensation may be based on verified child care experience, education, MSDE qualifications, credentials, and additional relevant training.
