Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to infants' developmental stages, including early literacy, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and sensory exploration Lead daily classroom activities that promote active learning, curiosity, and positive behavior management strategies Observe and assess each child's progress in areas such as childhood development, behavior management, and early intervention needs; document observations accurately Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns; foster strong parent-teacher partnerships Ensure classroom safety and hygiene standards are maintained consistently in accordance with childcare regulations and mandated reporting laws Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate preschool teaching principles, physical education activities, and age-appropriate assessments like standardized testing when applicable Provide guidance and mentorship to assistant teachers or interns to promote professional growth within the team Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including toddler care and preschool environments Strong knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development theories, and behavior management techniques Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare practices is preferred Demonstrated ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities for young children Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, staff, and community partners Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect; ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations Experience with classroom management strategies that foster a positive learning environment; ability to adapt activities for children with special education or early intervention needs Knowledge of daycare or private school standards; experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus Join us in shaping the future by providing exceptional care and education to our youngest learners!
