Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment tailored specifically for infants and toddlers. Your primary goal will be to support each child's developmental milestones through thoughtful curriculum development, individualized care, and positive interactions. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and overall child development. Provide attentive toddler care, ensuring safety, hygiene, and comfort at all times. Use effective behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior and emotional regulation among young children. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, circle time, nap schedules, and meal/snack times. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns in a clear and compassionate manner. Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare or safety. Collaborate with colleagues on classroom management techniques and participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education needs, and childhood development best practices. Skills Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Strong knowledge of child development principles, including toddler care and preschool teaching strategies. Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for infants and toddlers with an understanding of Montessori methods or other educational philosophies. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members alike. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, first aid and CPR certification to ensure safety standards are met. Experience integrating literacy education, math concepts, standardized testing preparation (where applicable), and behavior management techniques into daily activities. Knowledge of special education practices and early intervention strategies to support diverse learning needs. Demonstrated classroom experience with preschool-aged children or in private school settings is highly valued. Pay:
$15.00 - $16.50 per hour
