Role:
The Child Care Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position is focused on supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of children by providing attentive care and age-appropriate activities. The Child Care Worker collaborates with parents, guardians, and childcare staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met and that their well-being is prioritized. Through observation and interaction, the worker identifies developmental milestones and any concerns, facilitating early intervention when necessary. Ultimately, this role contributes to laying a strong foundation for children's lifelong learning and healthy growth within a supportive community environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
16 years of age Certification in CPR and First Aid for infants and children- will provide training if not certified Experience working with children in a professional or volunteer capacity. Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices. Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal child care regulations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote development. Assist children with daily routines such as eating, dressing, and hygiene. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Observe and document children's behavior and developmental progress to support individualized care. Collaborate with other child care staff and professionals to create a cohesive care plan. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or behavioral issues.
