Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant/Toddler Lead to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will oversee the development and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes healthy growth and learning. As a leader in our classroom, you will foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff while maintaining high standards of safety, behavior management, and educational excellence. Your energy and expertise will inspire young learners to explore their world confidently and joyfully. Duties Develop and execute dynamic lesson plans tailored to infant and toddler developmental stages, incorporating best practices in early childhood education, literacy education, and Montessori methods. Create a warm, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth. Lead daily classroom activities focused on child development instruction, physical activity, sensory exploration, and early intervention strategies. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns in a clear and compassionate manner. Manage classroom routines efficiently while implementing behavior management techniques that support positive behavior and emotional regulation. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety; maintain accurate documentation of incidents or concerns. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or staff members to uphold high standards of childcare, classroom management, and curriculum delivery. Experience Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools with a focus on infants and toddlers. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored to young children's unique needs. Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education strategies, early intervention techniques, and behavior management practices. Familiarity with teaching physical education activities suitable for young children as well as literacy education fundamentals. Experience working within regulated environments requiring compliance with health & safety standards including first aid and CPR certification. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and collaboration with team members. Background in Montessori or other specialized early childhood educational approaches is preferred but not required. Applicant must be willing to complete state mandated training, Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and First Aid, must be able to pass an FBI Background Check, and willing to complete center specified onboarding procedures. Staff are provided with a financially covered Child Development Associate (CDA) by Gateway to Early Learning.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
