Gateway to Early Learning, Inc. is seeking a dependable, nurturing, and experienced Infant & Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team. The Lead Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers while working closely with families and classroom staff. Responsibilities Provide consistent, nurturing care and active supervision of infants and toddlers. Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences. Follow individual children's feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines. Support children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development. Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. Complete daily classroom documentation and required records. Communicate regularly and professionally with families. Lead and support assistant teachers in the classroom. Follow all Montana childcare licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and Gateway to Early Learning policies. Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development. Qualifications Previous experience working with infants and toddlers preferred. Early childhood education experience or coursework preferred. Dependable, patient, organized, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to lift and carry young children and perform the physical responsibilities of working in an infant/toddler classroom. Must successfully complete all required background checks and licensing requirements. Required Training & Background Requirements Employment is contingent upon completion of required training and background requirements, including: Together We Grow Early Childhood Essentials Health & Safety Overview Federal FBI Background Check Adult, Child & Infant CPR/First Aid Additional training may be required to maintain compliance with Montana childcare licensing regulations.
