Job Description

KinderCare is seeking Teachers for our Chapel Hill center to inspire and nurture young children in a safe, engaging environment. In this role, you'll create age-appropriate lessons, lead play-based activities, and support each child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth. You'll partner with families through clear communication and consistent updates, and collaborate closely with teammates in our inclusive, growth-focused culture. Responsibilities Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment for young children. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and play-based learning. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Communicate regularly with families about children's progress and daily experiences. Follow health, safety, and licensing guidelines and center policies. Collaborate with teaching staff and center leadership on program planning. Observe, document, and report on children's development and behavior. Participate in professional development and ongoing training. Required Skills Early childhood classroom management Lesson planning and curriculum implementation Child development assessment and observation Health, safety, and sanitation practices Family communication and engagement Behavior guidance and positive discipline Record keeping and documentation Collaboration with teaching teams Basic computer skills for reporting and communication Knowledge of early childhood learning standards
