In this dynamic role, you will lead a classroom dedicated to toddlers, creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters exploration and learning. Your expertise will ensure each child's individual needs are met while promoting positive behavior and social skills. Responsibilities Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood education and toddler development, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, storytime, and sensory activities. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with preschool standards and developmental milestones. Foster a nurturing environment that supports emotional well-being, social skills, and positive behavior management. Ensure the safety of all children by maintaining strict supervision, adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary. Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children's progress, share observations, and address individual needs or concerns. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering or potty training assistance, meal times, nap schedules, and transitions. Maintain accurate records of children's development milestones, attendance, and incident reports while ensuring compliance with licensing regulations. Experience Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers or infants. Demonstrated classroom management skills in early childhood education environments. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices for working with young children. Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable. Experience with behavior management techniques tailored to toddlers to promote positive social interactions. Background in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involved working closely with young children is advantageous. Familiarity with early childhood education standards, daycare licensing requirements, and classroom safety protocols.
