Job Overview Angel's Child Care is seeking a full-time Birth through Kindergarten Teacher. This individual must have a Bachelor's Degree and be eligible for a BK addition in Early Childhood Education. This individual must be willing to obtain and maintain the credentials required by North Carolina. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated NC Pre-K Lead Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere, and supporting the developmental needs of preschool children. Your role is vital in laying the foundation for lifelong learning, ensuring each child receives high-quality care and education that promotes their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement dynamic, developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to the needs of preschool children, including those with special education requirements or early intervention needs. Plan and execute engaging lessons focused on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and other core areas of early childhood learning. Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to promote respect and cooperation among students. Collaborate with families, specialists, and support staff to monitor each child's progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain accurate records of student development, assessments, and standardized testing results to inform instruction and report on progress. Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health standards, and safety protocols related to childcare and preschool settings. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Experience with curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods. Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a nurturing environment for toddlers and preschoolers. Skilled in behavior management strategies that support positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support diverse learners. Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate standardized testing preparation when appropriate, while maintaining a focus on holistic development. Experience working in daycare or private preschool settings with toddlers or young children is highly desirable.
