Role:
The Goddard School of Hastings on Hudson is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher to join their dedicated early childhood team. Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants and toddlers in alignment with Goddard School standards Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early childhood development Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and communicate progress to families Build strong, trusting relationships with children, parents, and caregivers through consistent and open communication Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with health and safety regulations Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
Requirements:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for children ages 0-3 Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for early childhood education Ability to meet state licensing requirements for lead teacher qualifications in
