Job Description

Five Star rated Kids Kare Kent Campus is looking for a full-time Lead Toddler Teacher. A minimum of a High school diploma required an associates degree is preferred. Pay scale will reflect education and experience working with toddlers. What you will do in the classroom: Develop and nurture children by planning and implementing pre-made educational lesson plans; providing love and attention to children and keeping the children safe.
Duties:
  • Stimulate emotional, intellectual, and social growth of students by developing and directing educational programs and activities tailored to assigned class; supervising day care.
  • Potty train and diaper children in a class that holds up to 7 toddlers.
  • Provide a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and an appealing classroom; eliminating or removing known safety hazards; following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with ODJFS standards as well as STAR duties
  • Encourage students' participation by providing interactive activities.
  • Inform staff and parents of curriculum by preparing and submitting lesson plans weekly, posting schedules, and making crafts with the children.
  • Keep parents informed by posting parent information on class-tag and in the classroom; maintaining and sharing records of child's progress and behavior.
  • Encourage development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.
  • Ensure consistency of service by maintaining open communications with parents and staff.
  • Improve educational quality by taking 30 CE online courses every two years.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$12.00 - $19.00per hour ( with degree)
Schedule:
8 hour shift Day shift NO federal Holidays Monday to Friday No nights No weekends Overtime available one week summer break/several paid days off per year.
