In this dynamic role, you will provide essential support across multiple classrooms during afternoon hours, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. As a dedicated team player, you will assist with daily activities, supervise children, and help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that fosters growth and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children during afternoon activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist lead teachers with classroom management, including behavior guidance and routine transitions Support children's individual developmental needs through play, learning activities, and social interactions Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and materials regularly Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and progress Follow all mandated reporting laws to ensure child safety and report any concerns appropriately Support inclusive practices by working with children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements Requirements Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting is highly preferred Certification in first aid and CPR (Pediatric First Aid preferred) to ensure emergency readiness Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and positive reinforcement techniques Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety protocols Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities and attentive supervision.
