Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Classroom Management Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom at all times 2. Child Development & Learning Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities Support language development (talking, naming, repeating, singing) Encourage independence (feeding, dressing, clean-up routines) Promote social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, and emotional expression 3. Potty Training & Self-Help Development Actively support and implement the center's potty training program Follow each child's individualized potty training plan Take children to the restroom on a consistent schedule Encourage independence with toileting (pulling clothes up/down, handwashing) Maintain proper sanitation and hygiene procedures during all toileting routines Communicate daily potty progress with parents Respond to accidents calmly, professionally, and without shaming Ensure a positive, encouraging potty training environment 4. Daily Routine Execution Follow a structured daily schedule (circle time, centers, meals, nap, outdoor play) Lead engaging group activities and transitions Ensure smooth, calm classroom flow throughout the day 5. Behavior Guidance Use positive redirection and guidance techniques Model appropriate behavior and communication Maintain a consistent behavior system aligned with center expectations 6. Health & Safety Maintain proper sanitation (diapering, toileting, handwashing, cleaning procedures) Monitor children for signs of illness or distress Ensure all children's belongings are labeled and managed properly 7. Communication Provide daily updates to parents (including potty training progress) Communicate only through approved channels (Owner, Director, Lead Teacher structure) Report concerns, incidents, or needs to leadership promptly 8. Team Collaboration Work closely with co-teachers and support staff Participate in trainings, meetings, and professional development Maintain a positive, team-focused attitude Key Skills & Qualities Patience and strong emotional awareness High energy and ability to stay engaged with toddlers Strong classroom management skills Comfort and confidence with potty training Clear communication and professionalism Dependable and consistent Primary Goals for Toddler 2 Classroom Build independence ( including successful potty training ) Develop early language and communication skills Strengthen social-emotional development Create a structured but fun learning environment Prepare children for transition into preschool Requirements (Customize as needed) Experience working with toddlers (preferred) Experience with potty training (preferred) CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet state licensing requirements Ability to lift, bend, and actively engage with children daily Supervise children actively and consistently (visual + physical supervision) Follow all Texas childcare licensing rules and center policies Maintain proper ratios at all times Experience Prior experience working with preschool-aged children in daycare or classroom settings is essential Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles relevant to toddlers Experience in classroom management, creating structured yet flexible routines that support young learners Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for early childhood environments Hands-on experience caring for infants or toddlers through nannying or babysitting roles is highly valued Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with parents, colleagues, and children Join us as a Lead Toddler Teacher to ignite young minds through energetic teaching, compassionate caregiving, and inspiring leadership.
